Synonyms Methionine aminopeptidase, MAP, Peptidase M, map, b0168, JW0163.
Introduction Methionine aminopeptidases and designated peptidase M proteins belong to the M24 family of proteins. MAP protein removes the amino-terminal methionine residue from nascent polypeptides. The active site of MAP contains 2 adjacent divalent metal ions connected by a water molecule or hydroxide ion.
Description MAP produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 284 amino acids (1-264 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 31.5kDa.
MAP is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Source Escherichia Coli.
Physical Appearance Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Formulation MAP protein solution (1mg/ml) 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 10% glycerol and 2mM DTT.
Stability MAP E.Coli Recombinant although stable at 4℃ for 1 week, should be stored below -18℃.
Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
Purity reater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
